Railway fuses are current-limiting fuses designed to protect electric traction rolling stock equipment and MV-HV traction substations equipment.Railway fuses for rolling stock equipment are suited to protect against short circuit and overload faults in converters, heating, air conditioning and lighting systems according to the international standards UIC 550 IEC, IEC60077-5, IEC 60282 and to individual railways standards.
Railways fuses for traction substations equipment are suited to protect against short circuit in converters, in MV panels, switchgear and electrical equipment, in auxiliary circuits and tunnels lighting and ventilation systems up to 4kV DC and 40kV AC according to the international standards IEC 60282-4, IEC 60282-1, 60420 and to individual railways standards.
